We commit to the development and consolidation of the French biogas industry.
This is why Evergaz is a founding member of Biogaz Vallée® and France Biométhane and a member of ten or so structures representative of the sector.
France Biométhane
France Biométhane is a group of experts the objective of which is the development and democratisation of biomethane and its uses in France.
France Biométhane members share the belief that anaerobic digestion is a solution for the future for territories and a strategic sector for France. Drawing on the experience and expertise of its members, France Biométhane wants to fuel public debate and contribute to raising awareness of the benefits of anaerobic digestion for the environment and society.
Alain Planchot, CEO of Evergaz, is Co-Chair of France Biométhane. Frédéric Flipo, Managing Director of Evergaz, is Treasurer and Spokesperson for France Biométhane.

Biogaz Vallée®
Biogaz Vallée® is France’s industrial anaerobic digestion cluster aimed at structuring the biogas sector, with Evergaz as the founding member.
Evergaz was the driving force behind the creation of Biogaz Vallée® in 2010, alongside the Aube Department and the Aube Chamber of Agriculture. Biogaz Vallée® brings together, coordinates and supports the anaerobic digestion industry to accelerate its development and boost its potential which is still largely untapped in France. Biogaz Vallée® provides biogas players with operational support in the form of tangible actions:
- Dissemination and sharing of new know-how and knowledge
- Communication and networking with industrial players
- Organisation of specific training courses (operation, maintenance, etc.)
- Launch of new Research and development projects
- Hosting and assistance of innovative businesses in the process of creation or development
- Search for funding to support innovative entrepreneurs and project initiators
Certimetha®
The Certimetha® project is one of the cornerstones of Biogaz Vallée.
Certimetha is the ongoing construction project, in the Aube department, of a laboratory and industrial-size demonstrator, which will play a leading role in the establishment of a biogas eco-industry in the Aube department, and to position France no longer as a buyer of foreign solutions and technologies but as an innovation leader in the sector.
