Cap’ter Méthanisation

Commissioned in 2013 and taken over by Evergaz in 2018, the Cap’ter Méthanisation biogas facility is based in Saint Varent, Deux-Sèvres department.

Project description

With a treatment capacity of nearly 11,000 tonnes per year, the unit produces electricity and heat from agricultural by-products, livestock effluents and plant by-products, to supply green energy to nearly 1,000 homes. Evergaz bought the shares held by Méthaneo and took a stake in Capter in 2018, alongside long-standing partners AVENA Méthanisation and Séolis Prod.
