Pessin, Allemagne
In 2017 Evergaz, alongside Meridiam, took its first steps on the international stage with the acquisition of the Pessin biogas facility in Germany’s Land Brandenburg.
Project description
The Pessin anaerobic digestion unit treats 60,000 tonnes of waste every year. Commissioned in July 2015, the facility recovers the biogas produced by scrubbing (pressure swing adsorption technology, or PSA) followed by the injection of 700 Nm3/h of biomethane directly into the natural gas distribution network. The electricity and heat produced are used to meet a large proportion of the biogas plant’s energy requirements.
